Dr. Taylor Winkleman

Taylor spent six years in the Army as a Cryptologic Voice Intercept Operator, leaving as a Sergeant (E5). After being honorably discharged, she attended Augusta State University in Georgia, double majoring in English and Biology. Taylor later graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine's DVM/MPH program, completing her MPH in Public Health Policy in December 2015 and her DVM in May 2016. She has served as a CFR International Affairs Fellow placed at the World Health Organization and is currently working with the WHO and the UN on the UN BioRisk Working Group, drafting the Multistakeholder External Engagement Strategy. Taylor is also an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, focusing on graduate courses in science and international policy, infectious diseases, and emerging technologies.
